The official home for my save editors
I'm Rick Gibbed — I wrote the Gibbed save editors, and this is my official hub for them. The download buttons hand you my own GitHub releases directly, and the editors are free.
Why this site exists
When you search “gibbed save editor download,” the results are flooded with download portals serving re-hosted copies, “r256” repacks and installer wrappers. Meanwhile the real file is the one I post on my own GitHub releases. I got tired of watching people get burned by the fakes, so I made this the one official place that has it all — the genuine download, how to use it, and how to fix the errors people hit most.
How I keep it honest
- Verified downloads only. No mirrors, no re-hosted files, no “updated versions” — every button hands you my own GitHub release.
- I label anything unofficial. Forks, CLI alternatives and console tools are always marked as community projects.
- I never mix the games. BL2 (bl2_), Pre-Sequel (bloz_) and Mass Effect 2 (me2_) are three separate tools.
- I cite my sources. Claims trace back to my GitHub, my blog, or a verified community thread — most pages end with a “Sources I used” note.
About me
Rick Gibbed — programmer and modder (github.com/gibbed , on GitHub since 2009, “poking at games I love since 1996”). My repositories aren't archived but the Borderlands ones have been dormant since 2021; the final BL2 editor release is 1.0.46 (May 30, 2020). There's a fuller profile — and an answer to “is he still active?” — on the about Rick Gibbed page.
If you find an inaccuracy or a dead link, tell me — I'll fix it and stamp the page with a fresh update date. Any quantitative data (stars, issues, view counts) is a June 2026 snapshot.
